Job summary

Douglas Court Care Home is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and to support laundry services. The role includes cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, plus washing, drying and ironing clothes with proper labelling.

You will follow infection control and health & safety procedures while working with the team and alternate weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing, with proper labelling.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures to perform tasks safely.
• Work with the wider team and be prepared to work alternate weekends.
