Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant - Bank to join Grove Park Care Home in Leeds, with shifts 07:30–17:30 on various days as required.

You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry to hotel service standards, follow SOPs, and ensure residents are treated with dignity. DBS disclosure will be costed by Avery, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
