Job description

Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of needs, including residential and nursing care. We uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, avoiding agency staff for over 4 years, to ensure continuity and trust with residents. All staff are paid above the national minimum wage.

We are seeking to appoint a kind, motivated, and organized Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. The role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, in accordance with the New Care specifications. We offer a 30-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.21. Shift times are 0800-1600.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules, and sign necessary paperwork.
  • Follow all guidance from the Head Housekeeper.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the home’s standards for housekeeping.
  • Undertake general cleaning tasks and perform any other cleaning duties delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
  • Carry out laundry duties when required.
  • Ensure the working environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or contacts.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Previous non-domestic cleaning experience and experience in a care setting would be beneficial.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
  • Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments.
  • Effective communication with team members.
  • Reliability and trustworthiness.
