Job summary

Maplebrook Care Home in Wolverhampton is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents with complex health needs. You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas and support laundry duties, ensuring items are labelled and handled with care.

The role is contracted to 20 hours per week across two 10-hour shifts, with benefits including paid DBS, pension and uniform provided, plus 5.6 weeks of annual leave based on a full-time

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of hygiene, infection control and safe working practices is beneficial.
  • Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
  • Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing, ensuring items are labelled and handled with care.
  • Follow infection control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures to carry out tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to a well organised, hygienic and comfortable environment where residents feel respected and supported.

Job description

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised, hygienic and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.

  • 12.71 per hour
