Job Description:

Housekeeping Assistant Lancashire £11.44 per hour (Enhanced Pay at Weekends.)

To work 5 days over 7 including weekends. 7am till 3pm.

Purpose

To assist with maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness throughout the Service including the laundry.

Key Relationships
  • This role carries no line management responsibilities.
  • Responsible for working alongside and supporting volunteers within their team.
Qualifications required

No formal qualifications required.

Experience, Skills, and Ability
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within policies, procedures, and Behavioural Framework.
  • Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations.
Complexity and Accountability
  • This post holds no budgetary responsibility but requires keeping costs within limits.
  • Responsible for understanding personal responsibilities under Health & Safety at Work legislation and COSHH requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for cleaning all areas of the Service as per schedules, managing laundry, and following guidance from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Ensure safety for service users, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Ensure safe storage and use of chemicals and equipment.
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, report repairs or replenishments.
  • Record all required information.
  • Maintain standards according to national and local cleaning guidelines.
  • Support the smooth operation of the Service, maintain a safe environment, confidentiality, and undertake additional tasks as needed.
