Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant for Marula Lodge in the UK. You will join an award-winning team, supporting residents with a person-centred approach and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment across four units.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. A structured rota supports work-life balance, with 10-hour shifts totaling about 35 hours per week. Emphasis on respect, care, and kindness in daily duties.

• Confident written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Clean and care for all communal areas and residents’ rooms (vacuuming, polishing, mopping).
• Receive training on health and safety and safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies are stocked and ready for use.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for residents.

We care to 42 residents across four units, supporting those with varying complex care. Our person-centred approach focuses on each individual’s unique challenges, not just their diagnosis. Your Working Pattern

We offer a stable, structured rota to support your work-life balance.

• Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday – 08:00 to 18:00
• Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday – 08:00 to 18:00

10-hour shifts, averaging 35 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing

• As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
• Cleaning and caring for all communal areas and residents’ rooms – including vacuuming, polishing, and mopping
• Receive training on health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning products and equipment
• Ensuring all housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for use
• While you won’t be delivering hands‑on care, your warm presence and attention to detail will help ensure our residents feel respected, comfortable, and uplifted throughout your time with them
