Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant for Amarna House Care Home in York. You will join a team focused on maintaining high cleanliness and laundry standards while delivering hotel-style service in a residential care setting.

You will work as part of a team, adhere to safety procedures, and support residents with dignity and respect. The role requires flexibility to cover a range of duties as needed and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring areas are well presented and maintained.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are respected.
