Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for our Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards, upholding our care-focused service and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and ensure areas are well presented and maintained.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.
• Operate according to standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry to maintain hotel service standards.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton.

About The Role

Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
