Job summary

Avery Healthcare Clare Court Care Home in Birmingham is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home. You will follow standard operating procedures to deliver hotel-service levels of housekeeping.

Ideal candidates will know health and safety basics (Moving & Handling, Fire Safety, COSHH), have experience with public-setting laundry, and show genuine compassion and dedication to residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are respected.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Clare Court Care Home in Birmingham.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
