Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant on a Bank basis at Avonmere Care Home in Bristol. You will join a caring team and ensure high standards of cleanliness and laundry while respecting residents’ dignity and privacy.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving & Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH, plus experience cleaning in public areas. DBS check will be required. You will work flexibly to cover shifts and support our award-winning home.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving & Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions and SOPs.
• Maintaining cleanliness standards and hotel service standards across the home.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect, and their personal space is respected.
• Following cleaning procedures to ensure surfaces and fabrics are well presented and maintained.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry
aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained. Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions. Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected. .
