Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join Avonmere Care Home in Bristol on a bank basis. You will work as part of a caring team, delivering cleaning and laundry services to high standards in a residential setting.

You will follow our SOPs, treat residents with dignity, and be flexible to cover shifts at short notice. A DBS disclosure check will be funded by Avery, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety practices including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping.
• Ability to be adaptable and cover responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring that residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space is respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
