The post of the Hotel Services Housekeeping Assistant is to clean the hospital Wards, Clinics, Departments and Corridor areas in order that they are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, environmental cleanliness and appearance.
The successful candidate will work using a variety of equipment in order to carry out the full range of cleaning services required. Experience in a domestic environment would be an advantage but not necessary as full training will be given. You will be able to follow written and verbal instructions regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and will be able to demonstrate both the ability to prioritise tasks and the ability to work with minimum supervision, reporting to the Supervisor/Ward Sister.
You must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to changes in workload/duties/priorities, and be able to react sensitively to meet a wide range of differing needs together with a positive approach to team working and/or lone working. You should also demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will have an understanding of excellent customer service - although this is not essential.
Please be aware that this is a very physical and demanding job and will require a lot of time on your feet.
