Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for Greensand House Care Home in Redhill, Surrey. You will join a friendly team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry, following SOPs and hotel-style routines to ensure residents live in a comfortable environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of surfaces and coverings; keep areas well presented.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and personal space is respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
