Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group are seeking a Housekeeping Assistant / Cleaner to join The Burren in South Bristol. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming home for residents with complex neurological, mental health and dementia care needs, as part of an award-winning team.

Hours are 8:00am–4:00pm, four days out of seven (32 hours). The role emphasises respect, compassion and professional communication with residents, families and colleagues, with benefits including enhanced overtime and more.

Qualifications

• 12 months UK experience in a similar role (essential).
• Previous experience in a care home environment (desirable).
• A passion for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation.
• A friendly and proactive approach with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
• Confident communication skills – both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Create a clean, welcoming environment for residents.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the home.
• Clean and care for communal areas and residents' rooms.
• Receive training on health and safety protocols.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies are clean and stocked.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful atmosphere for residents throughout your shift.

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced and passionate Housekeeping Assistant / Cleaner to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location South Bristol, providing high quality care & supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole persons unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.

What You’ll Bring

• 12 months UK experience in a similar role (essential)

Your Working Pattern

Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

You’ll be scheduled to work 4 days out of 7, which will include weekend shifts as part of a regular rota.

What You’ll Be Doing

• As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
• Cleaning and caring for all communal areas and residents’ rooms – including vacuuming, polishing, and mopping
• Receive training on health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning products and equipment
• Ensuring all housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for use
• While you won’t be delivering hands-on care, your warm presence and attention to detail will help ensure our residents feel respected, comfortable, and uplifted throughout your time with them
