Cornerstone Healthcare Group Ltd is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant/Cleaner for The Burren in Bristol.The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards across resident areas with a warm, caring presence for residents and colleagues.

Working 32 hours per week, 8:00am–4:00pm, four days out of seven including weekends. Prior care home experience is desirable; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 12 months UK experience in a similar role (essential).
• Previous care home experience (desirable).
• Passion for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation.
• Friendly and proactive approach with ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Confident communication skills – both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Create a clean, welcoming environment for residents.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards across the home.
• Clean and care for communal areas and residents’ rooms (vacuuming, polishing, mopping).
• Receive training on health and safety protocols for cleaning products and equipment.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked and ready for use.
• Provide warm presence and attention to detail to residents.

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced and passionate Housekeeping Assistant / Cleanerto join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location South Bristol, providing high quality care &supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole persons unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.

What You’ll Bring

• 12 months UK experience in a similar role (essential)

Your Working Pattern

Working Hours:8:00am – 4:00pm
You’ll be scheduled to work 4days out of 7, which will include weekend shifts as part of a regular rota.

What You’ll Be Doing

• As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
• Cleaning and caring for all communal areas and residents’ rooms – including vacuuming, polishing, and mopping
• Receive training on health and safety protocols, including the safe use of cleaning products and equipment
• Ensuring all housekeeping supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for use
• While you won’t be delivering hands‑on care, your warm presence and attention to detail will help ensure our residents feel respected, comfortable, and uplifted throughout your time with them
