Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall invites a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our guest-focused team. You’ll prepare rooms to a high standard, keep guest areas clean and welcoming, and support laundry and linen with care. A positive, proactive attitude and strong reliability help you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn.

• The ability to work independently and use your initiative
• Previous housekeeping experience (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent attention to detail with high standards
• Good time management and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Preparing allocated rooms and areas efficiently and to a high standard.
• Ensuring all guest areas are clean, safe, and inviting at all times.
• Managing guest laundry and linen with care and attention.
• Keeping corridors and service areas clean, tidy and clutter-free.
• Maintaining organised and well-stocked linen cupboards.
• Following procedures for signing keys in and out.
• Adhering to all health and safety, manual handling and COSHH regulations (training provided).
• Working collaboratively as part of a committed, efficient and dynamic team.
• Supporting new team members with training and guidance.
