We’re looking for a practical, caring person to join us as a Housekeeping Assistant. In this role, you’ll help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the people we support – a place that truly feels like home.

Whether you're freshening up communal spaces or helping residents with their own rooms, your efforts will make a real difference to everyday life.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Keeping living spaces clean, tidy and comfortable.
  • Supporting residents with housekeeping in their own rooms.
  • Helping with laundry, general cleaning tasks and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Following health and safety guidance, including COSHH.
  • Taking part in team meetings, training and contributing to high standards across the service.

What we’re looking for:

  • A friendly, dependable person who takes pride in a job well done.
  • Experience in cleaning or housekeeping is helpful, but not essential – we’ll give you full training.
  • Basic computer skills – just enough to complete e-learning and day-to-day tasks.
  • A willingness to work within our Christian ethos and support others respectfully.
  • Membership of the PVG Scheme (or willingness to join) and basic vetting checks.

What you’ll get:

  • A warm, supportive team environment.
  • On-the-job training and development.
  • A role that’s practical, purposeful and truly appreciated.

If you’re someone who enjoys keeping things clean, organised and welcoming – and you want to do work that really matters – we’d love to hear from you.

We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that supports others.

Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.

We also support your training and development, including contributions to your professional membership fees, to help you learn, grow, and develop in ways that are right for you.

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have respect for all aspects of Christian worship.

You will also need to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of Practice.

We have a legal obligation to ensure that we do not employ any worker who has not been granted the relevant permission to work in the UK. This permission is granted by UK Visas and Immigration. We are required to check the entitlement to work in the UK of all prospective employees, regardless of nationality or job category.

We are committed to attracting, retaining, and developing the best people to build a diverse and talented team. We aim to create an inclusive and inspiring environment where individuals feel valued, respected, and able to thrive.
