Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for Merlin Court Care Home in Marlborough, Wiltshire. You will join a caring team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards, delivering hotel-service quality while ensuring residents' dignity and comfort.

The role requires compassion, adherence to health and safety standards, and flexibility to cover a range of duties. DBS disclosure will be funded by Avery, and you must be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry for residents.
  • Able to adapt and be flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions.
  • Understand cleaning requirements of surfaces and coverings and maintain good conditions.
  • Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and personal space is respected.

We're now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Merlin Court Care Home in Marlborough, Wiltshire. If this sounds like the place for you, we'd love to hear from you!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
  • Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
