Job summary

Vita Student is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant in Liverpool to deliver luxury, home-from-home cleaning services for studio apartments. You will work a varied, part-time schedule with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week, typically 10am–6pm, across seven days with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include cleaning studios to a high standard, stock management, incident reporting and COSHH compliance. A friendly, diverse environment and support for career development are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in large multi-room residence facilities such as student accommodation, hotels or hospitals.
  • Able to use smartphone/tablet to manage tasks and documentation.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe cleaning practices.
  • Strong English communication skills, multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional cleaning service for student studios, keeping them clean, healthy and presentable.
  • Follow designated schedules and manage dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and surface disinfection.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering supplies and maintain COSHH compliance.

Day-Time Shift Patterns
Hourly Rate: £13.45 plus generous benefits (please see below).
Contract: Permanent, part-time. A minimum contract commitment of 16 hours per week
Required Days of Work: Varied each week. flexibility is required throughout the week
Working Hours: Between 10am-6pm Monday - Sunday. Varied shift patterns. Full flexibility required.
Overtime: We offer overtime opportunities to support both planned and unplanned shift cover. These additional hours help us maintain the exceptional service and support our residents expect.

We offer style, luxury & comfort to our residents, surrounded by premium amenities and a vibrant city life. We’re expanding our housekeeping team with the appoint of an experienced Housekeeper to deliver a luxury, home-from-home cleaning service for our residents’ studio apartments whilst ensuring our premium site & facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Our Housekeepers

Provide an exceptional, personalised room cleaning service to students by ensuring their studios are maintained to a clean, healthy & presentable standard. Working towards designated schedules, cleaning duties include but are not exclusive to; dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, anti-bacterial cleaning of surfaces and making beds.

  • Ensure our facilities are being looked after respectfully by students & guests.

  • Maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities.

  • Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.

  • Be a point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.

  • Maintain waste management areas adhering to health & safety regulations, ensuring potential hazards are addressed / cleaned / tidied / reorganised as required.

  • Using a smart phone / tablet, record & manage each studio clean: each studio clean is to be photographed prior to, and at the end of each clean.

  • Report any concerning behaviour of students that could be an indication of welfare concern.

  • Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager. Assist in ordering stock to maintain appropriate inventory.

  • Housekeepers must understand and follow "Control of Substances Hazardous to Health” (COSHH) regulations to protect their health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.

  • A well-versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi-room residence facilities such as accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals.

  • Our operations run seamlessly with the support of a variety of technology systems and software; our Housekeepers must be technologically astute.

  • Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices

  • Flexibility: Our facilities are open to residents 24 hours a day, 356 days a year including all bank holidays, festive & religious breaks. Where festive and religious celebrations require time off, we will always try to accommodate, however flexibility from our Customer Service Assistants is imperative to be available as required to ensure continuous service to residents.
