Job summary

Vita Group is expanding its housekeeping team in Manchester to deliver a luxury, home-from-home cleaning service for residents in communal spaces. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across shared areas, using a smartphone/tablet to document each studio clean, and staying adaptable to varied shifts.

The role is a 3-month fixed-term contract, 20 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.

Qualifications

  • Experience in luxury residence facilities.
  • Familiar with COSHH regulations and practices.
  • Technological aptitude for using estate systems and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Clean designated communal areas to high standards (reception, hallways, stairs, dining areas).
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum carpets and hard floors; wipe surfaces and disinfect high-touch areas.
  • Report damages and stock needs; manage waste according to health and safety rules.

Housekeeper – Luxury Residence

Contract: 3 Month Fixed Term, 20 hours per week

Spaces are created to transform work/life balance, and our services take care of the finer details, so residents enjoy more of each day effortlessly. We’re expanding our housekeeping team with the appoint of an experienced customer focused housekeeping professional to deliver a luxury, home-from-home cleaning service for our residents’ communal living spaces.


Our Housekeepers

Provide an exceptional, personalised cleaning service to our estate by ensuring that designated, communal areas are maintained to a clean, healthy & presentable standard. This includes tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces, as well as tasks like cleaning windows, polishing metal, and emptying bins to maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities.



  • Cleaning the reception, hallways, stairwells, working spaces, dining areas and other shared spaces.

  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming carpets and hard floors.

  • Wiping down surfaces such as handrails, door handles, light switches, and furniture.

  • Dusting and polishing furniture and other surfaces, polishing metal fixtures and surfaces.

  • Disinfecting high-touch areas.

  • Cleaning windows and glass doors.

  • Maintain waste management areas adhering to health & safety regulations, ensuring potential hazards are addressed / cleaned / tidied / reorganised as required.

  • Reporting any damage or maintenance issues to the property management team.

  • Picking up litter from shared living spaces including external grounds.

  • Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.

  • Be a point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.

  • Using a smart phone / tablet, record & manage each studio clean: each studio clean is to be photographed prior to, and at the end of each clean.

  • Report any concerning behaviour of residents that could be an indication of welfare concern.

  • Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager. Assist in ordering stock to maintain appropriate inventory.

  • Housekeepers must understand and follow "Control of Substances Hazardous to Health” (COSHH) regulations to protect their health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.

  • A well-versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi-room residence facilities such as luxury accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals or office buildings.

  • Our operations run seamlessly with the support of a variety of technology systems and software; our Housekeepers must be technologically astute.

  • Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices

Where festive and religious celebrations require time off, we will always try to accommodate, however flexibility from our Customer Service Assistants is imperative to be available as required to ensure continuous service to residents.
