Job summary

Connaught Care is seeking a thoughtful Housekeeping Assistant to join our luxury care home group. You will help maintain a high standard of cleanliness in residents' rooms and shared areas, support daily laundry, and adhere to infection control and safety policies.

A friendly, discreet presence will enhance the five-star experience for residents. You’ll collaborate with care and hospitality teams to ensure the home feels calm, comfortable and welcoming at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience (in care, hotels, or hospitality is ideal—but not essential)
• A good eye for detail and a quiet pride in getting the small things right
• An understanding of how a clean space contributes to dignity, wellbeing, and emotional comfort
• A respectful, professional, and discreet approach
• A genuine desire to make a difference through the work you do

• Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation in residents’ rooms and shared areas
• Support daily laundry services, ensuring residents’ clothing and linens are handled with care and respect
• Follow infection control, COSHH, and health & safety policies with diligence
• Work closely with care and hospitality teams to deliver a seamless, five-star experience
• Build positive relationships with residents and be a friendly, respectful presence
• Take pride in making the home beautifully kept, comfortable and guest-ready

What You’ll Be Doing:

Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation in residents’ rooms and shared areas

Support daily laundry services, ensuring residents’ clothing and linens are handled with care and respect

Follow all infection control, COSHH, and health & safety policies with diligence

Work closely with the care and hospitality teams to deliver a seamless, five-star experience

Build positive relationships with residents, being a friendly and respectful presence in their daily lives

Take pride in making the home feel beautifully kept, comfortable, and ready for guests at all times
