Job summary

Champneys Buxton is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Assistant to maintain and prepare guest bedrooms and public areas to luxury standards. You will ensure rooms are clean, calm and welcoming for guests from arrival, while upholding discretion and privacy in all guest areas.

Responsibilities

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness and comfort
• Preparing rooms to feel calm and inviting for guests
• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas with guest privacy in mind
• Stocking and organizing housekeeping trolleys and storerooms
• Reporting maintenance issues promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required
• Attending team meetings and training to improve standards

Your Role Will Include

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to exceptional Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and comfort
• Preparing rooms so they feel calm, inviting and ready for guests to relax from the moment they arrive
• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas, ensuring guest privacy and discretion at all times
• Keeping housekeeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and fully stocked
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or stock shortages promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Working respectfully and quietly within guest accommodation, recognising that guests are here to rest and unwind
• Responding politely and professionally to guest requests in line with company procedures
• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required
• Attending team meetings and training, with a willingness to continually improve standards and skills
• Health, safety and professionalism:
• Following all health, safety and fire procedures at all times
• Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance
• Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, punctuality and conduct
• Working with discretion and confidentiality in all guest areas
