Meadowvale Care Home is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment at our Bathgate care home. The role includes cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and assisting with laundry duties, while following infection control and health and safety procedures.
The successful candidate will contribute to residents’ comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
Meadowvale Care Home is a purpose built care home located in Bathgate, West Lothian, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 52 residents. With an experienced team and a strong focus on person centred care, the home offers a supportive and well established environment where team members can feel valued and confident in their role.
As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
