Job summary

PJ Care is seeking a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant in Milton Keynes for Days (7am–7pm) on a rolling rota: five days one week and two days the next, with occasional weekends and Bank Holidays. You will manage laundry tasks (washing, drying, ironing), launder soft furnishings, and maintain high cleanliness across bedrooms and communal areas in line with our procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or laundry in a care setting preferred.
• Willingness to work a rotating day shift, weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet all laundry needs: washing, drying and ironing.
• Launder soft furnishings and other onsite laundry.
• Maintain high cleanliness of bedrooms and communal areas per procedures.
• Keep all areas of Units clean: toilets, floors, and surfaces.
• Set up the trolley at start of day and restock.
• Collect stock and distribute to units.
• Clear Unit Manager’s office, Nurse’s station and medication room.
• Complete daily paperwork.

We are currently looking for a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant in Milton Keynes. This position is for Days 7am - 7pm, on a rolling Rota pattern doing 5 days 1 week and 2 days the next week (not doing more than 3 days in a row). This will include some weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• To meet all laundry needs, including washing, drying and ironing.
• To launder soft furnishings and other onsite laundry.
• To Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation by servicing all bedrooms and communal areas in line with company procedures
• To keep all areas of the Units, including all toilets, clean and tidy. This includes washing, dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning, sweeping and mopping as appropriate.
• Setting up the trolley at the beginning of the day and emptying it at the end of the shift
• Colleting stock and putting it away onto the different units
• Clearing the Unit Managers office, Nurse’s station and medication room
• Completing the daily paperwork
