We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our team on a rotational contract to cover Burnley Urgent Treatment Centre and Accrington Minor Injuries. The successful candidate will work two days at Burnley Urgent Treatment Centre and two days at Accrington Minor Injuries, with occasional support for ED.
The main responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring proper cleaning, stocking, completing checklists, catering, minor maintenance, and supporting individual patient needs as directed by the Matron/Assistant Matrons/Nurse in Charge.
The post holder will coordinate patient facilities/services, monitor quality standards, and rectify deficiencies in liaison with the senior nursing staff.
Our Urgent Treatment Centre is based at Burnley General Hospital, serving a wide variety of patients. We are part of a larger team including the ED Department at Blackburn and Accrington Minor Injuries Unit.
The Emergency Department at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital provides care for both adults and children with serious illness or injury, handling approximately 154,000 attendees per year, with facilities including an 8-bed resuscitation area, 43 major cubicles, and a helipad for serious cases via North West Air Ambulance.
