A Part Time Housekeeper is required to work 20 hours a week (ideally on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) - with the hours spread out however the Housekeeper wishes over the course of the week. There is an option for a more full time housekeeper (live in) with a room and bathroom provided in the house (and kitchen shared with the family), should this be of interest to someone.

You will be working in a large family home, that is busy with 2 adults, 2 children (age 7 and 8), 1 dog, 1 cat and chickens! So someone calm and child/pet friendly is absolutely essential.

The family require someone organised and capable, with initiative to see what needs doing and actioning it without always being asked. Someone thorough with their cleaning essential, and you must be experienced and excellent with handling laundry (including delicate fine fabrics) and wardrobe management.

Duties include, but not limited to: Full housekeeping Washing and ironing Tidying all around the house, ensuring it is in continuous good order Deep cleans of rooms/kitchen equipment/bathrooms when time allows Wardrobe management Flower arranging (using plants from the garden) Clearing up after meals Occasional light cooking for the family would be helpful, but not essential Organising and tidying cupboards/toys Stripping and making beds Order new household supplies/stock Polish silver Occasional additional hours available with assistance at dinner parties (serving and clearing) - notice will be given

You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the home while delivering excellent service to the family and their guests. It is important you have experience working in a private home and are able to care for high end furniture and surfaces. Laundry skills must be exceptional!

The family would love someone with a good eye for detail, friendly and approachable, and discreet. This will be a super opportunity for a long term career with a lovely family.
