Job summary

The Avalon Centre in Swindon is seeking a Part Time Housekeeper to join the housekeeping team. You will clean wards, offices, bedrooms and visitor areas, while collaborating with maintenance to keep all spaces spotless.

Essential duties include maintaining security standards, professional communication, and supporting a positive service culture. Training and career development are provided within a supportive environment.

• Previous cleaning experience in healthcare or similar environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain security standards by following hospital policies

Working 16 a week you will be an integral part of the housekeeping team at a service for men and women with enduring mental health issues, complex needs and complicated addiction problems; where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.

Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. As a Part Time Housekeeper You Will Be

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
• An active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
• Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Helping create a positive culture.
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

• Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment

You will be working at The Avalon Centre, a purpose built neurological centre for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury.

The centre has been designed specifically to support people with Neurological conditions, because of their injury, have challenging and complex needs and require a neurobehavioral rehabilitation programme.
