We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Assistant. Are you warm and welcoming and thrive in a clean and tidy environment? If so, you may wish to consider joining our laundry team to provide an efficient and effective laundering service for the home. As one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK, we aim to couple great care with meaningful and enjoyable experiences.

As a Laundry Assistant, you will be:

• Carrying out all laundering duties, including safely storing dirty laundry and sorting into appropriate wash loads
• Washing, drying, and ironing all bed linen, table linen, towels, and residents' personal clothing
• Ensuring the linen cupboard is well stocked and tidy
• Assisting with the general cleanliness of the laundry area, including air filters and equipment
• Adhering to Company Policy on Infection Control regarding soiled linen
• Following COSHH regulations for control of hazardous substances
• Transporting linen and clothing to storage or residents’ rooms, hanging or neatly placing items, and ensuring effective identification and return systems
• Keeping records of damages and reporting the condition of residents’ clothing for replacements
• Storing equipment, chemicals, and cleaning products safely and securely
