Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Housekeeper at Granville Lodge in Hartlepool. The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of £25,400.16 per annum.

You will maintain high standards of cleanliness across the service, including residents’ rooms and clinical areas, following COSHH and infection control procedures. Experience in healthcare or care home environments is desirable, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Basic education including English and Maths is desirable.
• COSHH, Infection Prevention and Control, or Health and Safety training desirable.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing learning relevant to the role.
• Previous domestic, housekeeping, or cleaning experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the service, including Residents’ bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, dining areas, offices, therapy spaces, and clinical environments.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties in accordance with cleaning schedules and infection control standards.
• Complete deep cleaning tasks as directed by management.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored securely.
• Follow regulations for cleaning chemicals and hazardous substances at all times.
• Maintain cleaning storerooms and trolleys in a clean, stocked condition.
• Report maintenance concerns or health and safety risks promptly.
