Job summary

Active Care Group in Northampton is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the on-site team at Christchurch View, providing cleaning and upkeep across the premises as part of a rehabilitation pathway.

You will work with a friendly domestic team, perform general cleaning, stock materials, follow COSHH procedures, wear the uniform, and complete mandatory training. A DBS check is required; we are Disability Confident.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper from healthcare or domestic cleaning background
• Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative
• Enhanced DBS required

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the on-site domestic team to maintain high standards of cleanliness
• General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash basins, baths, showers and surfaces
• Carry out periodic cleaning ( corridors, windows, carpets ) using appropriate equipment
• Store and care for cleaning equipment and materials adhering to COSHH procedures
• Ensure a smart appearance in company uniform and provide high levels of customer care
• Complete statutory and mandatory training (face-to-face or e-learning) relevant to the role

We're committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy and empowered, enabling them to live the best life possible.**What you'll be working:*** Bank* £12.89 per hour**What you'll be doing:*** Work as part of the on site domestic team ensuring a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained* General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards etc. using designated equipment and re-stocking materials as required* Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows and carpets using the appropriate machines/tools* Correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures* Ensure a smart appearance wearing the company uniform provided* Provide high levels of Customer Care at all time* Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether it be delivered face-to-face or via e-learning, deemed relevant to their role**What you'll have:*** A genuine interest in working within a caring environment* Previous experience as a Housekeeper from either a Healthcare or Domestic cleaning background* Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS**We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
