Job summary

Retirement Villages Group (RVG) is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join Charters Retirement Village in East Grinstead. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) to maintain clean and comfortable living spaces for residents and to support a high standard of cleanliness throughout the village.

You will clean residents' apartments and common areas, assist with laundry, manage waste disposal, and follow cleaning schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise residents' apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, lounges, and recreational spaces.
• Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding residents' clothing and linens.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.
• Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed.
• Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed.
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village.
