Job summary

Circle Reading Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is recruiting a Housekeeper to join the Hotel Services team on a bank basis. The role covers day‑to‑day cleaning of patient, public and staff areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all.

This bank role provides on‑call, casual hours to supplement staffing during busy periods or staff absences, with a competitive hourly rate of £12.71. You may work across departments, including theatre areas, and at other Circle Health Group sites

Qualifications

• Competency in literacy and numeracy.
• Good Communication skills.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake in the day-to-day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and Circle Health Group employees.
• Replenish linen and consumables.
• Provide flexibility to work in all departments (inc Theatre areas) and at other Circle Health Group sites where appropriate and as requested
• Complete daily task sheets and submit to the Housekeeper Lead on a daily basis for auditing purposes
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training

We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their team of staff in the Hotel Services department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Undertake in the day-to-day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and Circle Health Group employees.
• Replenish linen and consumables.
• Provide flexibility to work in all departments (inc Theatre areas) and at other Circle Health Group sites where appropriate and as requested
