Job description

St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Housekeeperto join their team. Thisroleis offered on a permanent basis and is based in Taunton.

You will join us on a part time basis, working 14 hours per weeek, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £9,198.22 per annum plus 14% unsocial hours enhancement.

The housekeeping service operatesover 7 days a week, between the hours 7am to 6pm.Shift patterns include 7am to 3pm and10am to 6pm. You will be required to work weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, andbank holidays on a rota basis.

What can you expect to be doing?

Joining our friendlyteam in Taunton, you will create a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all.

As our Housekeeper, you willplay an importantrole inClinical Services. By providinga high level of cleanliness, you willensurethe smooth day to day running of the hospice. You will also help to create a welcoming, warm, and supportive environment for patients,their families and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• FollowingNHS cleaning standards and national colour coding to meet current audit standards and maintain cleaning schedule records
• Cleaning all areas of the hospice, includingpatient areas and staff rooms,
• Following cleaningschedules and keepingrecords up to date
• Maintaining and effectively using cleaning equipment and supplies.

What will you be good at?

Diligent and conscientious, you will have:

• A strong team work ethic,
• Good attention to detail,
• A Level 2 in Healthcare and Support or be willing to attain a QCF level 2.

Due to the nature of the work, this can be a physically demanding role.

If you are successful at interview, this role will require a standard background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
