Port Gaverne Hotel, part of St Austell Brewery, is seeking a Housekeeper to welcome guests warmly and keep rooms spotless on a small, historic site near Port Isaac. The role offers friendly, flexible working and learning opportunities for newcomers, with support to grow within the team.

You'll join a close-knit staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for visitors exploring North Cornwall’s coast.

Qualifications

• No prior housekeeping experience required; training and support will be provided.
• You’ll be responsible for welcoming guests and maintaining clean, comfortable rooms.
• You’ll work as part of a close-knit team to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome to guests throughout their stay.
• Keep guest rooms clean, tidy and well-presented.

The 17th century Port Gaverne Hotel is nestled in a beautiful, secluded cove near Port Isaac on North Cornwall's dramatic coast. Relax in our traditional old bar with slate floors, wooden beams and a wide range of proper ales served alongside seasonal, quality food inspired by the bounty on our doorstep.
The Port Gaverne has 15 ensuite rooms, each individually furnished. Please note, our rooms are situated on two floors of the building and because the building is very old, we do not have access to an elevator. All rooms are accessible via a narrow, steep staircase with low ceilings, keeping the natural beauty of the place intact.
The beautiful, peaceful North Cornwall Heritage Coast is on our doorstep, with the beach just moments away.

We’re looking for a Housekeeper to join our close-knit team. You’ll provide a warm welcome to guests, making them feel at home throughout their stay, while keeping our rooms looking spick and span. If you haven’t done this kind of work before, we’ll support you to learn.
