Job summary

Port Gaverne Hotel, nr. Port Isaac, Cornwall, is seeking proactive staff to join our housekeeping team. You’ll help keep our traditional, welcoming pub and hotel clean, fresh and inviting for guests arriving after a day exploring the coast.

Are you passionate about cleanliness and detail? We’ll support you to learn, offering in-house training, flexible working and perks like meal during shifts and staff discounts on food, drink and overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or cleaning is welcome, but training will be provided.
• You’ll provide a warm welcome to guests and keep our premises looking spick and span.
• A flexible, team-focused attitude helps in busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome to guests and make them feel at home during their stay.

The 17th century Port Gaverne Hotel is nestled in a beautiful, secluded cove near Port Isaac on North Cornwall's dramatic coast. Relax in our traditional old bar with slate floors, wooden beams and a wide range of proper ales served alongside seasonal, quality food inspired by the bounty on our doorstep.
The Port Gaverne has 15 ensuite rooms, each individually furnished. Please note, our rooms are situated on two floors of the building and because the building is very old, we do not have access to an elevator. All rooms are accessible via a narrow, steep staircase with low ceilings, keeping the natural beauty of the place intact.
The beautiful, peaceful North Cornwall Heritage Coast is on our doorstep, with the beach just moments away.

Are you passionate about cleanliness? Do you pride yourself on your attention to detail? Do you have a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to' muck in' when needed? You’ll provide a warm welcome to guests, making them feel at home throughout their stay, while keeping our premises looking spick and span. If you haven’t done this kind of work before, we’ll support you to learn.
