Job summary

Lochside House Hotel is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. Shifts vary from early mornings with typical hours around 9:00am–3:00pm, with some 6:00am starts and occasional earlier shifts to meet business needs.

You will maintain cleanliness of public areas and guest bedrooms, handle special requests, and ensure rooms meet standards. Training is provided, and a supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred, though training will be provided.
• Hard-working, dependable and punctual with pride in high standards.
• Excellent communication and friendly, approachable manner.
• Willingness to be flexible to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas.
• Clean and prepare guest bedrooms in line with occupancy and arrivals.
• Ensure rooms meet company standards and complete room check procedures.
• Report maintenance faults to Duty Manager.
• Report concerns about guest misuse or damage professionally.
• Help ensure guest comfort, safety and satisfaction.
• Follow instructions from Duty Manager and Head of Housekeeping.
• Keep areas clean, organised and hazard-free.

Part-Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team at Lochside House Hotel.

Shifts will vary between 6:00am and 3:00pm, with typical working hours being9:00am to 3:00pm or 10:00am to 3:00pm. Flexibility is essential, as earlier shifts will be required occasionally to meet the needs of the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas throughout the hotel, ensuring they are always welcoming for our guests.
• Clean and prepare guest bedrooms in line with daily occupancy and arrivals, carefully carrying out any special requests to ensure a memorable stay.
• Ensure all rooms are cleaned to company standards, completing relevant documentation and room check procedures accurately.
• Promptly report any maintenance faults within bedrooms or public areas to the Duty Manager.
• Report any concerns relating to guest misuse or damage of bedrooms in a professional and discreet manner.
• Help ensure the comfort, safety, and overall satisfaction of every guest within the hotel.
• Follow all instructions and guidance provided by the Duty Manager and Head of Housekeeping.
• Keep all working areas and public spaces clean, organised, and free from hazards, maintaining a safe environment for guests and colleagues.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is desirable, though full training will be provided for the right candidate.
