This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, supportive, and dynamic multidisciplinary inpatient/outpatient service serving South London and Maudsley. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Administrator, Ward Manager, Business Manager, and other team members, providing top-tier housekeeping support.
The postholder will be an integral part of the ward team, responsible for coordinating all client facilities services in the ward area to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
The main responsibilities include ensuring the efficient delivery of cleaning, catering, maintenance, laundry, and other tasks to meet individual client needs as determined by the ward manager or shift coordinator.
The postholder will work with contractors and support service departments, monitor quality standards, report deficiencies, and ensure work is completed.
Additional duties include conducting quality audits on the ward, swiftly dealing with spillages, maintaining safety and tidiness, liaising with the domestic department for deep cleaning, and managing catering requirements for patients, including special diets and extra meal requests.
The role also involves ensuring the dining area is pleasant and well-equipped, ordering and monitoring supplies, managing the ward's work requisition log, coordinating ad-hoc maintenance, respecting client privacy, organizing storage of client property, supporting health and safety, welcoming visitors, assisting with staff training, and maintaining food hygiene standards.
Furthermore, the post involves preparing meeting rooms, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the Ward Manager in safety procedures.
