Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is hiring a full-time Housekeeper in Guildford to deliver cleaning services for healthcare facilities, 37.5 hours per week.

You will maintain a wide range of areas, dust, mop, sanitise touchpoints and support a safe, welcoming environment for staff and visitors, with a flexible 5-of-7 shift pattern.

The role requires prior cleaning experience, strong customer service, and teamwork; training and compliance with health and safety guidelines are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role in healthcare is preferred.
• Customer-focused approach and good communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to work 5 out of 7 days.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining a wide range of areas within the building.
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently.
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste.
• Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for visitors by following the required policies and procedures.
• Following all health & safety guidelines when using equipment.

We’re currently recruiting a full time Housekeeper to join our dedicated team to deliver outstanding cleaning services for Healthcare, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:
