Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Hornchurch is hiring a Housekeeper to uphold pristine living environments for residents in our luxury care home. You’ll keep residents’ bedrooms and communal spaces spotless, with careful attention to cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.

You’ll also handle laundry tasks, support safety by spotting risks, and collaborate with housekeeping, food & beverage and wellbeing teams to maintain the highest standards. NVQ1 or equivalent experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 1 and experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
• High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work across departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in residents' homes and communal spaces.
• Handle laundry to keep linen clean and hygienic.
• Identify and reduce fire and accident risks with the team.

Your Role at Signature

As our Housekeeper, you’ll be the sort of person who doesn’t go out without leaving a tidy bed. You’ll apply your high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness to our resident’s homes and communal living spaces, to ensure they’re spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.

You’ll also be working in laundry ensuring that the linen is kept clean for residents’ comfort and hygiene. You’ll also have your eye out for potential fire and accident risks, working with the housekeeping and maintenance team to reduce any risks to resident’s safety.

Our residents will notice and appreciate attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness builds confidence in our service delivery.

Internally, this role is called Hospitality Assistant, if you are successful this will be your job title. You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
