Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking a Housekeeper (Hospitality Assistant) for our Signature at Caversham home in Reading. You’ll ensure bed linen is clean, spaces are tidy, and residents inhabit a spotless, well-presented environment. The role includes laundry duties and safety awareness to protect residents’ well-being.

NVQ Level 1 preferred; experience in a similar role is beneficial. Part-time shifts available, with salary £13.45 per hour and up to 30 days annual leave plus 8 bank

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 qualification preferred.
• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Keep residents' homes and communal areas spotlessly clean to high standards.
• Perform laundry duties to ensure linen is clean and hygienic for residents.
• Identify potential fire or accident risks and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to reduce risks.
• Role may span across Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle; duties vary by shift.

Take pride in creating a beautiful environment for our residents, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Housekeeper at our luxury care and nursing home in Caversham.

What you will do

As our Housekeeper, you’ll be the sort of person who doesn’t go out without leaving a tidy bed. You’ll apply your high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness to our resident’s homes and communal living spaces, to ensure they’re spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.

You’ll also be working in laundry ensuring that the linen is kept clean for residents’ comfort and hygiene. You’ll also have your eye out for potential fire and accident risks, working with the housekeeping and maintenance team to reduce any risks to resident’s safety.

Our residents will notice and appreciate attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness builds confidence in our service delivery.

Internally, this role is called Hospitality Assistant, if you are successful this will be your job title. You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
