Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Housekeeper for our luxury care and nursing home in Banstead. You will ensure resident spaces are spotless, tidy and well presented, with duties spanning laundry and risk awareness to protect residents.

Internally named Hospitality Assistant, this role supports Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle across shifts, requiring attention to detail, reliability and good communication. Training and development are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 1 is advantageous.
• Strong cleanliness and hygiene standards expected.
• Experience in a similar housekeeping role is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in resident homes and communal spaces.
• Assist with laundry to keep linen clean and well presented.
• Watch for fire/accident risks and coordinate with teams to reduce them.
• Work across departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Wellbeing & Lifestyle per shift.

Job Introduction

Your Role at Signature

As our Housekeeper, you’ll be the sort of person who doesn’t go out without leaving a tidy bed. You’ll apply your high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness to our resident’s homes and communal living spaces, to ensure they’re spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.

You’ll also be working in laundry ensuring that the linen is kept clean for residents’ comfort and hygiene. You’ll also have your eye out for potential fire and accident risks, working with the housekeeping and maintenance team to reduce any risks to resident’s safety.

Our residents will notice and appreciate attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness builds confidence in our service delivery.

Internally, this role is called Hospitality Assistant, if you are successful this will be your job title. You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
