Job summary

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper/ Domestic Assistant to join our hospital team. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £25,038 per annum and a 37.5-hour week, supporting a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

You will work with Heads of Housekeeping to plan tasks, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a positive patient experience through excellent service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar housekeeping role.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and standards.
• Clear communication with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Care about our patients and help organise work with housekeeping leads to protect the patient experience.
• Be friendly with good communication and customer service while working with colleagues and patients.
• Be motivated, friendly and flexible in daily tasks.
• Ideally experienced, ensure cleaning processes are followed and areas are clean, pleasant and safe.
• Work closely with Infection Prevention, reporting incidents as needed.

As a Housekeeper, you will:

• Care about our patients so that you can organise your work and plan your time with assistance from our Heads of Housekeeping to make sure cleaning never gets in the way of a patients’ experience.


• Be friendly, with good communication and customer service skills. This will come in handy when you are working in a team with your colleagues and also when you are interacting with our patients.


• Motivated, friendly and flexible


• Ideally experienced in a similar role, you will be well organised and will ensure that cleaning processes are followed and that the location is clean, pleasant and safe for patients.


• Work closely with the Infection prevention team, reporting incidents to the relevant team members.
