Job summary

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper/Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will use modern equipment and follow established cleaning protocols to support high-quality patient care.

This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £25,545 per annum, a 37.5-hour week and a benefits package including free gym membership, health assessments, retail discounts and pension options. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ideally experienced in a similar housekeeper/domestic role.
• Well organised and able to follow cleaning protocols.
• Friendly with strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare a range of areas to create a safe, pleasant environment for patients.
• Carry out room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning.
• Follow cleaning processes and coordinate with Heads of Housekeeping to minimise disruption to patients.
• Support Infection prevention team by reporting incidents.

We are looking for a Housekeeper who will help us to create a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning and preparing a range of areas, utilising the latest equipment, products and supported by a first-class training programme.

You will take pride in your work and undertake a variety of general responsibilities ranging from room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning.

Ideally experienced in a similar role, you will be well organised and will ensure that cleaning processes are followed and that the location is clean, pleasant and safe for patients.

As a Housekeeper, you will:

• Care about our patients so that you can organise your work and plan your time with assistance from our Heads of Housekeeping to make sure cleaning never gets in the way of a patients' experience.
• Be friendly, with good communication and customer service skills. This will come in handy when you are working in a team with your colleagues and also when you are interacting with our patients.
• Motivated, friendly and flexible.
• Work closely with the Infection prevention team, reporting incidents to the relevant team members.
