Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our ad hoc bank shift team. You will help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients by performing a range of cleaning tasks using modern equipment, and you will join a first‑class training programme.
You should be friendly, patient‑focussed and good at caring for others, with the ability to work with Heads of Housekeeping to plan your duties and support infection prevention activities across the site.
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Keeping our Hospitals clean is a big priority for us. We are looking for a Housekeeper who will help us to create a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning and preparing a range of areas, utilising the latest equipment, products and supported by a first‑class training programme. You will take pride in your work and undertake a variety of general responsibilities ranging from room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning.

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day‑case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
