Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two enthusiastic Housekeepers to join the Day Procedure Unit (DPU) and Same Day Admission Unit (SDAU) teams at Colney. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff, support infection prevention, manage stock, and assist with patient meals.

The role requires a positive attitude, good communication, and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.

The Housekeeper plays an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, you will help maintain a clean, safe, organised and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will be required to support high standards of infection prevention and control by ensuring patient areas, clinical and non-clinical areas are maintained to a high standard. You will be responsible for monitoring and replenishing stock, ensuring equipment and supplies are available, supporting food and drink provision for patients, and reporting any environmental or maintenance concerns appropriately. This is a patient-facing role: good communication skills, a friendly and professional manner, and a commitment to providing an excellent patient experience are essential. You will work closely with nursing, administrative and clinical teams, contributing to a positive and efficient care environment. DPU and SDAU are committed to supporting learning and development, encouraging all staff to develop their skills and knowledge. Our opening hours are Monday to Sunday between 07:00 and 22:00, and the shifts are 07:00 to 15:00 and 12:00 to 20:00. We currently do not work Bank Holidays or night shifts.
