Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes is seeking an outstanding Housekeeper to help provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for people in our care. You’ll work 40 hours a week, 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, at our Bury site.

Key responsibilities include daily cleaning, stock replenishment and maintaining equipment, with a strong emphasis on COSHH and safety practices. The role requires clear communication and a positive, friendly attitude as part of the care team.

Qualifications

Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable)
Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable)

Responsibilities

Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service.
Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes.
Replenish stock & ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained.
Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures.
Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

You’ll be working 40 hours per week (8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday) at Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and emergency admission services.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.
