Job summary

Meadow View Neurological Centre in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe and welcoming surroundings for residents, families and colleagues. You will clean bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, manage laundry and supplies, and report shortages to the manager while building supportive relationships with residents.

We value reliability, attention to detail and a caring, respectful approach.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or domestic experience is desirable
• Basic understanding of infection control, health and safety and COSHH
• Understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices
• Reliable, organised and able to work to a high standard
• Flexible and solutions-focused approach
• Caring and respectful approach when working around residents
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

Meadow View Neurological Centre is a purpose-built specialist neurological care and rehabilitation centre in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Our experienced team provides personalised care and rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological conditions and injuries, supporting people to achieve greater independence and quality of life. With modern facilities, dedicated therapy spaces and a welcoming environment, colleagues have the opportunity to work as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful difference every day.

• £10,745.01 per annum
• Paid DBS, pension and uniform provided
• 28 days annual leave (pro rata for part time), inclusive of Bank Holidays

Role Overview

As a Housekeeper, you will help maintain clean, safe and welcoming surroundings for the people we support, their families, visitors and colleagues.

You will carry out cleaning duties across the service, ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and other spaces are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

You will handle laundry and residents' personal items with care, maintain housekeeping supplies and report any shortages or issues to the relevant manager. You will also build positive relationships with residents and offer assistance where appropriate.

Your work will play an important part in creating a warm, homely and therapeutic environment that supports the delivery of high quality care and rehabilitation.
