Job summary

Wood Care Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure cleaning standards in a busy care home are maintained at a high quality level. You will treat residents as family, balancing respect and dignity with a strong commitment to safety and professional development.

We value kind, caring individuals who can communicate effectively and work flexibly across shifts. Prior care home housekeeping experience is desirable, and you will be supported by excellent training and an in-house recognition

• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts.
• Committed and organised approach.
• Experience in care home housekeeping is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to understand safeguarding responsibilities and adhere to policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in a busy housekeeping environment.
• A committed and organised approach.
• A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs, demands of the home and participate in appropriate training and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
• Employee's need to ensure they fully understand their safeguarding responsibility, develop their understand and skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
• Employee's need to ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control.
• Ensure that the safeguarding and whistle blowing policies are adhered too at all time.
• Provide evidence of any untaken training.
• Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
• Complete all training as determined by the home.
