Job summary

Rose Court in Ballymena is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, welcoming environment within a busy care home. You will lead the domestic and laundry teams and ensure COSHH compliant practices, working closely with the Home Manager and care teams.

Rose Court

Rose Court is a professional, person-centred care and nursing home situated in Ballymena. This spacious home provides a range of specialist care services for older people, including residential, dementia and general nursing. The home, which is designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment, has excellent amenities, including a café, comfortable lounges and dining spaces within which residents can relax and socialise. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home.

The Role

At Healthcare Ireland, our Housekeeper role is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Responsible for the environment of the Home, the Housekeeper lead the domestic and laundry teams in contributing to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.

The Housekeeper works closely with the Home Manager, care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where our residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring that rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value that we add to the lives of our residents.

About the role

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform a variety of tasks throughout the Home, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning surfaces in resident rooms, communal areas and offices; adhering to cleaning and laundry schedules as required.




• Manage the domestic team to guarantee that all areas of the Home, including bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas and hallways, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.




• Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management.




• Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule.




• Responsible for the storage of cleaning products, ensuring they meet COSHH regulations and all cleaning machinery and equipment are used properly and stored safely.




• Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
