Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher status, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
  • Relevant Degree qualification, or equivalent.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that inspires students and supports outstanding achievement in Sport.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of learners.
  • Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and implement appropriate support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate student records and comply with College, awarding body and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Sport curriculum and contribute to recruitment, enrichment and student engagement activities.

Contract: Permanent, Hourly Paid

Salary: £15.97 - £35.34 per hour (Inclusive of holiday pay)

The Role

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher status, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.

Experience

  • Current knowledge and/or experience of teaching within Sport.
  • Understanding of current issues and developments within the Sport sector.
  • Knowledge of career pathways and progression opportunities within Sport.
  • Experience supporting learners aged 16-18 and adults to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience delivering engaging learning experiences in either education or an industry setting.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent sport industry knowledge and practice.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.
  • Confidence in using digital technologies and learning platforms to enhance teaching and learning.
